“Utkrisht Icons” awards for Alumni – MRIIRS bestows “Utkrisht Icon" awards for deserving alumni who have displayed their exceptional achievements, contributions, or talents in the field of Entrepreneurship, Government and Administration, Industry, Art and Glamour, Social Flag Bearers and Sports. The nominations are requested both through self- nomination by the alumni by highlighting their achievements as well as through departmental nominations. Based on the inputs received, the jury selects the awardees. Several MBA alumni have won these Awards. Some of the prominent ones have been given below

Prominent Alumni – Sportsperson

Following are some of the MBA alumni who have been successful sportspersons and have brought laurels to the department at both national and international level competitions. We feel proud of being there alma mater.

  • DPGMS Alumnus SHWETA CHAUDHARY is a felicitated Indian shooter who has won gold, silver, and bronze medals in various national and international events.
  • ANKITA DAS, an alumnus of MBA, is a famed Indian table tennis player. She represented India at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women’s singles event. Ankita Das has won championships at the 75th Senior National Table Tennis Championships (2014).
  • MBA alumnus SHAGUN CHOWDHARY, became the first Indian woman to qualify for the Olympic trap shooting event at the Belgrade World Championships. She has an impressive lineup of medals to her credit.
  • SHREYASI SINGH, an MBA alumnus at MRIIRS, is an Indian shooter in the double trap event. She won the silver medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Shreyasi was part of the Indian team at the 2013 Trap.
